Anastacia Elias, MSW, ACSW

Classroom Clinician

Anastacia is an associate clinical social worker working toward a licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) under the Board of Behavioral Science (BBS). She graduated with her master’s in social work from San Jose State University in 2022 and received her bachelor’s in psychology from San Jose State University in 2020. In 2016, Anastacia began working as a Special Education Para-Educator for Santa Clara County’s Alternative Education program and aided youth including diagnoses: ED, ADHD, SLD, OHI, Anxiety and Depression. Throughout Anastacia’s career, she has had the opportunity to support youth and adults in Santa Clara’s Public Defender’s Office, outpatient clinics, and public and private schools. Anastacia has supported family and children in a variety of backgrounds and challenges including: housing and financial instability; criminal justice involvement; immigration challenges and acculturation; divorced and blended families; domestic violence; difficult transitions and grief/loss. Anastacia is passionate about family mental-health therapy and utilizes a directive, emotionally focused, strength-based and trauma-informed approach to the services she provides. Anastacia believes in a creative and fluid approach to delivering therapy and enjoys collaborating and partnering with clients and families. In a busy and over-stimulating world, Anastacia believes in the power of grounding, mindfulness and the healing powers of nature. Trust, validation and openness are hallmarks to Anastacia’s therapeutic approach in delivering services to families and youth. Anastacia’s cultural background consists of proud Mexican and Cuban lineage. She is passionate about serving her community and embracing cultural traditions and language. Outside of work, Anastacia can be seen hiking, attending musical events or farmer’s markets, and spending time with her family and friends. Anastacia is an avid traveler and embraces learning about different cultures and ways of life.
