Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

Emily is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist with over 20 years’ experience treating children, teens, parents and families in clinic and school-based settings. She was a therapist and clinical program manager in the EBC School for 10 years and now in the clinical services for 5 years. She is competent in both long-term depth psychotherapy as well as short-term/crisis management work. Her work has been focused on teens and families struggling with depression, anxiety, behavioral issues, ADHD, LD and high functioning Autism. Emily uses a variety of modalities, primarily Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and has facilitated DBT groups for teens in the CHC RISE IOP and CHC Catherine T. Harvey Center for Clinical Services for 4 years. She is also trained in art therapy interventions and tailors therapy to each client’s unique experience and goals. Her primary focus is on creating a trusting, collaborative, creative, humorous and supportive relationship between therapist and client. Emily enjoys free time with her husband and four children exploring the beaches and woods of the Bay Area, as well as, cooking, reading and indulging her intense love of Premier League soccer.
